I'm thinking about getting a new sound card HT Omega Striker, Claro, or Claro+?

I just want a crisp sound card for dvds, computers games, blu rays,etc. I won't be doing any sound editing or recording. Are these cards able to encode pcm uncompressed audio from blu-rays? Are these cards supported in Fedora 9?

I would imagine they cannot currently encode uncompressed pcm from blu-rays in linux. Although there is some very promising work going on, and they may have this working, it might be a bit before it is stable and "mainstream" enough to make it work out of the box. For now I'd aim for something like the Turtle Beach Riviera which offers an optical digital output and is known to work well in Linux.
