I'm a Noob and i don't know how to use my Xbox 360 controller!

Hey i just ported from Windows Vista RC2 to Open SuSE 10.2 not too long ago........ and evrething is going great except i don't know how to use my Xbox360 controller. Is there any way i can use it in Open SuSE?

Unfortunately, last time I checked you need to patch and recompile the kernel which might be sort of scary the first time you do it.

By the way, usually switching operating system is not referred to as porting as far as I know. Rewriting a program written for one os so it can use another is.
