i DON'T SPEACK ENGLISH VERY WELL....
I HAVE A HD SERIA ATA FROM SEAGATE...120 GB...
I INSTALL WIN2K ... ALL OK...
I'M A NEWBIE IN LINUX...
I TRY TO INSTALL BUT LINUX DON'T FOUND MY HD...
I READ THAT I NEED TO RECOMPILE KERNELL AND BLABLABLA......
BUT HOW I DO THIS IF I DON'T SUCESS IN INSTALL IT????
PLEASE SOMEONE CAN COMPILE IT AND SEND ME THE ARCHIVES READY TO COPY TO THE DISKETTE????
HOW I INSTALL THE DRIVER IF LINUX DON'T ASK FOR A DRIVE OF HD????
pLEASE SOMEONE CAN HELP-ME STEP BY STEP?????

Sorry but maybe I have a problem with my browser. It looks to me like you are typing everything in UPPER CASE - it's annoying to read UPPER CASE for more than a few words. Is there a browser setting I can change to turn this sad effect off?

Could you tell us a bit more over the error messages that you get? Probably send a cut from any logs that can be helpful (if you can reach 'em at the stage you get stuck)?
