hplip on a linux from scratch build?

Hi,

I installed the current hplip software, hplip-0.9.7-2. It does not install a bootscript on my system. I am running a cvs version of linux from scratch. I was wondering if any lfsers have built and used hplip on their system. I am trying to get a hp-photosmart-7150 running. I would appreciate any input. The installation instructions on the hp sourceforge page are really biased toward the user friendly linux's. I have cups and ghostscript installed, but not foomatic or net-snmb. I am only using this printer on my box.

thanks
