Question hp wireless mouse clicking and scrolling not working

Hey, I'm just a newb and have installed Mandrake 10. I'm running an HP Pavilion T660a PC which came with a multimedia wireless mouse and keyboard.

My problem is as follows: the installation went perfectly with both the mouse and keyboard functioning but now when I'm actually trying to use Mandrake I'm unable to get any response to the clicking of buttons and scrolling of the wheel on the mouse - the keyboard is fine.

The problem goes further in the fact that I've tried MandrakeMove and FedoraCore in the past and this problem with the mouse happened during the installation.

I'm hoping that someone will have some idea how I can fix this, and please remember I'm only new so please treat me as a child

Any help is greatly appreciated
