HP Vectra vl6 sound card & FC2

I have FC2 installed on a HP Vectra 6/400 Series 8 (PII, 400 MHz) and it does not detect the integrated sound card. I believe that this is an issue with this HP model.

How do I find out what sound card is on the mother board? I do not have windows installed, and cannot use that to provide the information.

Is there a work around for detecting this sound card? Has anyone had any luck just installing another sound card? Any help is appreciated.

Some additional information:

I have tried to locate the sound card using a Google search and by searching the HP website to no avail. Again, any help would be appreciated.

This problem has been solved! I installed a (cheap) sound card in an empty slot and FC2 correctly recognized it and set it up. Now I have sound!
