hp scanjet 8250


Hi

my system can not detect hp scanjet 8250 scanner
plz help
i am running Suse 10.1

You will need to use sane. http://www.sane-project.org/
First check to see if the scanner is seen. Start up the system with scanner unplugged.
Open a terminal session and run the command ' dmesg '
Now plug in the scanner.
Type ' dmesg ' again and see if the system sees it.

If all is good check out sane and xsane to get going.
If not seen post back.
