HP Printer will not print

I have a Linux with Xandros3 OS, And my printer is a HP F380, I was told by HP that it would work with my computer and i can't get it to print, I am getting the run around with everyone I talk to, I just need to be able to print my documents for my classes. I have been able to print Test pages and make copies, but I can not get it to print documents, it disappears almost immediately from the 'print jobs' window and will not print. I have been told I need some sort of "Debian Driver" but I've also been told I need to fix the "CUPS" to a higher level. Please someone help me, I've no clue where else to turn.

Awaiting hope,
Lindsey

Check out http://www.linuxprinting.org/cups-doc.html and search for your printer to see what it needs to work.

Fire up any browser and point it to http://localhost:631, then go to printers and check that out.
