HP Officejet 5510 printer

I everybody,

I'm trying to install my HP Officejet 5510 printer on SUSE 9.1

I followed all the instruction provided in :

/usr/share/doc/packages/hp-officeJet/index.html

I have all hpoj , hpijs and cups well intalled.

All connection test are right.

PTAL is started on system booting.

I installed my printer with cups and I selected " PTAL mlc:usb:officejet_5500_series (hp officejet 5500 series) and OfficeJet 5500 driver.

But the printer does not print!

If I send a printing test I got no error it answered me that the test was completed but the printer did not print.

Can you please help me!

Thanks!

Are u sure, the printer driver was installed without any problem?
Check your printer with other operating system..might be...there is some problem with sending of data 2 the printer

You may have better luck downloading the HPOJ driver via HP and following the documentation.
http://hpinkjet.sourceforge.net/install.php#HPLIP

Its takes several steps but I don't have a problem with it.
Once you download, you have to run ptal-init setup

Then run ptal-init start
Then add it via CUPS.
