HP Laserjet P1006 Mandriva 2011 erratic print behaviour..

I have a Lenovo T61 with CUPS configured correctly (I think). When I try to print, jog goes to CUPS and acts as if it printed, but no print. If I start my Windows OS in Virtual box and do a print, it works. Strangely enough, printing from Linux will subsequently work without fail.

I never got much good of my Laserjet P1005 until I installed foo2zjs. Funny install instructions, the hotplug stuff is dodgy, and it doesn't like system-config-printer, but it works.

What are you using? Just cups?
