HP LaserJet 1200: CUPSToOmni Error: unable to load "libHP_LaserJet_1200.so"
I'm trying to connect to a printer on a network CUPS server, using openSUSE 11.0. The configuration all works beautifully, it finds the printer and acts as if everything is going fine.
But when I try to print anything, /var/log/cups/error_log tells me CUPSToOmni: Fatal error: unable to load "libHP_LaserJet_1200.so", g_module_error returns "libHP_LaserJet_1200.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory" In /usr/lib64/ghostscript/Omni, I can see a link called libHP_LaserJet_1200.so, which points to libHP_LaserJet_1200.so.2.0.0 in the same directory, so I know that the file does exist. If it is simply looking in the wrong place, how do I tell it where to look, or is there something else going on? Thank you all in advance! |
1. What 'lib' directories do you have? ls -ld /usr/lib*
2. Are you running a mixed 32/64-bit system or all 64? 3. What is /etc/ld.so.conf doing? |
1. Here are the lib directories (ls -ld /usr/lib/* exceeded the character limit for the forum, so here's ls -d /usr/lib/*):
Code:
/usr/lib/acpid 3. This is what /etc/ld.so.conf contains: Code:
/usr/X11R6/lib64/Xaw3d |
