HP DJ840c print quality

On my Win box print quality is fantastic and I use it a lot for publishing reports, making greeting cards, invitations, etc.

When I use the same printer for my RH 7.3 box images and graphics are screwed up... text is ok though.

Methinks its my choice of printer drivers though I have a feeling that it's generally the state of printing in Linux - that it's just not up to par YET, with Windoze.

Anyway what driver would you reccomend?

maybe turboprint is an option
www.turboprint.de/english.html
it supports your type HP
it is limitted in its free edition, but for my epson printer even tho,
quality using turboprint is better then default cups/gimp
for more quality you have to pay

Don't know about RH. I use lpr,apsfilter and hpijs-driver for my printer (thats for hp inkjet).Works better than with M$ - faster output with the same quality.For graphics i use the gimp - comes with drivers for printing.

I have device driver for printer(Wipro EX 200+) in linux for text mode.
I want to add Graphics mode to it.
I want to know functions related to graphics mode. How to send image pixelwise to the printer.
