HP All-in-One MFD (printer-scanner-copier) compatibility

Ok, I plan to buy an MFD and I want to know whether it would be compatible with Linux or not.

I tried searching the HCL but all I get is
Code:

This category does not contain any products.
I've not decided on the model yet, but I've marked down a couple of printer-scanner-copiers and I want to know whether these devices are generally supported under Linux.

If anybody has any specific information whether any models are supported, I'd be very glad to know.

Anybody? I found by google on LQ HCL that this product is indeed supported, but there is only one person who's reviewed it.

The product is HP PSC 1315 (Print-Scan-Copy)

If anybody else has this device got the print and scan to work in Linux, I would be very glad to know.

Regards.

For anyone interested, I googled around and found this page.

http://www.linuxprinting.org/show_pr...um=HP-PSC_1310

Shows that the device is compatible. However, needs a bit of tweaking to get *both* printing and scanning to work.

For anybody seeking printing compatibility with Linux, check out this site:

Most HP All in One printers seem to work with Linux. I have the HP 1210v and it works great.

Thanks craigevil. I request everybody who are shopping for hardware to check out Linux compatibility before purchasing. I wrote an article in blog regarding Linux and hardware compatibility.

Regards.
