Thanks again for the help.

I'll give the nVidia drivers a shot.

Here is what is actually running.

Code:
% xdpyinfo | grep dimensions
  dimensions:    1440x900 pixels (411x260 millimeters)

% xdpyinfo | grep root
  root window id:    0x65
  depth of root window:    24 planes
Once I get a chance to mess with the drivers I'll post if that solves anything.
