HP 932C using CUPS not printing

My 932c does not look like it is receiving any info when I try to print the CUPS test page. whenever I check the status of the print job, it is always "Aborted". I have uninstalled LPRng and reinstalled cups. I have also gone to www.linuxprinting.org
and followed their Cups QuickStart instructions.

Do you know whether CUPS has proper access to it's prefered IP port, 631 I believe???

Other typical problems are related to the printer being "suspended" from recieving new print jobs in CUPS.

Without more detailed info, it would be difficult for us to help you here. You are running Slack?!?! Which version. What hardware are you running??? How is the printer connected (USB, Parallel, Ethernet)? If it's USB are the proper kernal modules running for the version of USB that you have?

You need to check the CUPS configuration tool to see if the printer is active or suspended. If suspended, the jobs will likely abort. The printer will still print a test page, but it won't print one of your jobs. Usually, you have to make changes to the printer configuration with root authority. The configuration tool should support that.

The Test Page also doesn't print anymore.
