Hp 5510
I have successfully configured an HP 5510 to cups. I am able to print from Linux. The printer is defined to SAMBA. The problem is configuring the drivers for Win2k. Either locally or using the wizard. Of course the printer manufacture and model do not show up in the dialog so I select have disk
and insert the HP CD. I have no clue what file to point to on the CD to install the appropriate driver. TIA Gary Ernst |
What distro, also more info like do you have two computers on a network, one running linux one widows 2000 etc.etc...

I had the same problem. I called HP and they told me that they did not support Linux. I think Windows is looking for a driver that's compatible with HPIJS and not the printer itself. Anyone with luck doing that??
