hp 3740 not printing, can not make a test print, do not see error

Thru yast, I installed the hp 3740 printer driver. It is a usb device. The os is opensuse 11.0 and upgraded kde to 4.2.4. When I print a test page in yast, it looks like it is sent but nothing happens. Do I need to upgrade cups?

Go to your cups admin webpage
http://localhost:631/printers/

What does it read about your default printer?

mine reads like this:

Description: HP Photosmart C4200 series
Location: linux-gjzr
Printer Driver: HP Photosmart c4200 series Foomatic/hpijs, hpijs 2.8.7.3
Printer State: idle, accepting jobs, published.
Device URI: hp:/usb/Photosmart_C4200_series?serial=CN7B5RG1S604VP

I was not sure what was happening when I started the web admin page so I canceled it when I noticed the router activity lights flashing. Is it doing a scan of my box? I also noticed the box became slow while the admin page was present. Is all of the above normal when the web admin page is present?
