Hello people!

I use mandrake 10.1 and own a Canon i560 printer.

I configured my printer to work with the Canon Japanese Pixus i560 drivers (same printer, different country). It works great.

The only thing that bugs me, there is no 4x6 photo size in the choices of size.

I opened up my PPD file and quickly saw that it coul be modified easily if I had a bit more knowlege about it'S structure.

I looked around on the net without finding much.

My question is: Is the PPD file the only file I need to modify to add custom paper sizes for my printer and is there a guide outhere that I could read to learn how to edit those files and understand the syntax?

Also, this driver limits the resoltution to 600x600. Is it also possible to raise that since I know my printer can go as hi as 4800x1200 DPI?

Depends upon what print system you're using.

Browse to http://www.LinuxPrinting.org and look for
your printer. They will tell you what drivers are available,
which one works best, what resolutions are available,
etc.
