how to use an IDE disk after put to sleep with hdparm -Y /dev/hdb

Hey guys...
i have 2 hard disks in my machine...
anyways, the second disk is a windows disk... rarely use it, so in my rc.hdparm i send the command hdparm -Y /dev/hdb which puts the disk to sleep, (and you hear it spin down)

anyways, whenever i try to access the disk, i get timeout errors.
how do i wake up the disk... there is no mention in man hdparm.

and the disk toed not wake up by itself.

any ideas ?

its a IDE disk, set as primary slave.
