How to set printer for openoffice1.1 in slack 9.1?

Hello,
I am really newbie and start to setup slack 9.1 as a pc, but it's not easy.
Now, I have a problem in setting hp 810c printer to print out for openoffice 1.1
I already install cups driver by command # /usr/sbin/cupsd and it works great
with konqueror browser, I can print information from any web. I had installed
openoffice 1.1 and tried to set printer in it ,but the system of openoffice it's
seemed that not accpeted any printer, I tried the driver with generic driver,
but it 's printed nothing without inform any error.
I would like to appreciate any guru or newbie who can advise me to set
this printer in openofiice 1.1 that runs on slack 9.1. Thanks in advance.
