How to reset keyboard in X ?

Hi all ;-)

I recently bought a iogear kvm. Sometimes when I switch computers, the keyboards get messed. The O key and others give weird chars instead of their regular one ;-(

If i quit KDE and return to command line, the problem goes away and the O key works again.

Any way to "reset" the keyboards instead quitting X ?
