How to partition /dev/hde1 as / (root)

Hello,

How do I partition /dev/hde1 as root, but that my PC still can boot ?

Daz

Edit: btw, if I just do it with fdisk or during an install, it gives errors at boottime and exits with a kernel panic.

Try qtparted.

It may not be installed by default, so you'll have to use yast to install it.
