how to make a microsoft mouse to work in linux! :)

I don't like their OS.
But I sure like (some) of their hardware...

Got myself an: Wireless Optical Mouse 2.0 by microsoft.

It has no mouse ball, and has no wire.
Its great! I love it, so easy to use... feel's great...

It came with a CD.

Well in windoze I installed the driver without a problem... (what a surprise, huh? ;)
And I got a kewl proggy, saying how much battry life I have left, and an easy way to change the setting of it...

It works just fine without the drivers...

Anyway, I but into linux, and the mouse works.

Me proud of linux... :)

But it would be nice to install the driver, so I'd get that proggy... ;)

so what do I do?
Use wine to install it?

CAN it be installed?

would be great if it worked!

I have SuSE 9.0 (home edition, not pro) and the kernel is 2.4... (waiting for suse to release 2.6)

thanks

Devils (Windows) and Angels (Linux) can get along sometimes. But I doubt it will this time.
