how to installing wavecom gsm modem

I'm trying to install a wavecom gsm modem. I can't find any sources on how it should be done. i haven't install a modem on linux before. if someone can help it would be helpfull.

Thanks for your advise

but i still haven't get out of the question. What i'm trying to do is sending sms using java RxTx package. When i send AT command it only send -1

I'm just think that this may occure due to not installing modem. I apritiate if someone can tell me how to do that

The issue was solved, no need to install (if you are using java.comm or RxTx). Just have to give the correct baud speed (in most cases 9600 kbps)
