Dear kabugima2,
This is how I configured my Huwaei 1260 usb modem. I hope this will help you also in configuring the Huwaei E1750 modem.

Login as root.
Insert the modem in a USB port.
Do a lsusb command.
You will get the vendor id and the product id.
[root@localhost ~]# lsusb
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 005 Device 002: ID 15d9:0a37 Unknown Mouse
Bus 005 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 004 Device 002: ID 12d1:140b Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd.
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 0000:0000

Here the vendor id is 12d1 and the product id is 140b.
Now you have to do a modprobe.

[root@localhost ~]# modprobe -r usb-storage usbserial
[root@localhost ~]# modprobe usbserial vendor=0x12d1 product=0x140b

Run wvdialconf as below.

[root@localhost ~]# wvdialconf /etc/wvdial.conf

If your browser gives problems loading the pages add the nameservers in /etc/resolv.conf as below.

[root@localhost ~]# cat /etc/resolv.conf
search localdomain

See if you have kppp. If you have kppp or gnome-ppp. you can also install wvdial.
open a terminal
#urpmi wvdial

Likewise you can install kppp

#urpmi kppp

Question

Hello, all.
I have the same question, but for me wvdialconf fails with output
Code:
# wvdialconf /etc/wvdial.conf
Scanning your serial ports for a modem.
Port Scan<*1>: S0 S1 S2 S3
WvModem<*1>: Cannot get information for serial port.
ttyUSB0<*1>: ATQ0 V1 E1 -- failed with 2400 baud, next try: 9600 baud
ttyUSB0<*1>: ATQ0 V1 E1 -- failed with 9600 baud, next try: 9600 baud
ttyUSB0<*1>: ATQ0 V1 E1 -- and failed too at 115200, giving up.
WvModem<*1>: Cannot get information for serial port.
ttyUSB1<*1>: ATQ0 V1 E1 -- failed with 2400 baud, next try: 9600 baud
ttyUSB1<*1>: ATQ0 V1 E1 -- failed with 9600 baud, next try: 9600 baud
ttyUSB1<*1>: ATQ0 V1 E1 -- and failed too at 115200, giving up.
Sorry, no modem was detected! Is it in use by another program?
Did you configure it properly with setserial?
Please read the FAQ at "some url here, I can not post it"
If you still have problems, send mail to "some email here".
Modprobe seems to worked OK (after it /dev/ttyUSB0 and /dev/ttyUSB1 appeared and ZeroCD disappeared).
My distribution is CentOS 5.2 with kernel updated to 2.6.36.
Does anybody knows, what could be reason of such issue? Thank you!

A client of my had a problem with this type of modem, i managed to solve this with Sakis http://wiki.sakis3g.org/ but it depends on your service-provider see the list on the Sakis wiki if yours is supported

Babertje, thank you for your unswer!
Unfortunatenly, my ISP is not supported by sakis3g (it is not listed in wiki). Anyway, I am not sure, program like sakis could use the modem, if it is not properly configured. And I still not can found, what is the exact problem there?

OK. The issue seems to be solved.
What I did:
I installed usb_modeswitch and after both modprobe commands run it like this:

Code:
#usb_modeswitch -v 0x12d1 -p 0x1446 -m 0x01 -M "55534243000000000000000000000011060000000000000000000000000000"
This created one new file /dev/ttyUSB2, by the way. Then wvdial saw modem correctly.
