Question How to Install Smart Link Modem in RedHat9? I have drivers help me?


Hello Everyone i have smart link internal PCI modem and also have drivers for my modem in under linux. but i do not know how to install my modem. i have no much experience of using Linux so please help me in easy way to install my smart link modem drivers.Also please guide me to a good beginner's tutorial on red hat linux 9. i have also seen here in threads that red hat linux 9 is outdated bcoz it does not update and instead use fedora core.what linux distribution is good and easy for beginners who just want to use linux in replacement to win-doze(windows).thanks in anticipation.

The packages in RH9 are sort of old, so you could use the latest version of SuSE or Fedora Core 4 instead.
