how to install mandrake 9.0 on Geforce fx5200??


how do i install mandrake 9.0 on my geforce fx5200?? im using LG studio works 563a. my monitor and vga card doesn't show up in the list in installing mode,


i cannot login to mandrake, each time i tried, just end up in the command prompt like DOS mode, this is my first time using linux. and i am really blurred bout it, pleasee help, thanks

To start off with you should be able to set the card as a generic type to get basic functionality.

you can then download the nvidia drivers (and instructions) from the website and install them.

One other possiblity is to download a newer version of mandrake (or Mandriva as its called now) as it probably has builtin support for your newer hardware.
