Unhappy How to install Linksys Wireless -G PCI Adapter model WMP54G in RHEL5...??


Hiii.. I'm Soby...new to linux and to this forum...I got RHCE...I'm uisng RHEL5....here are the details...

My kernel version is 2.6.18-8.el5. I downloaded ndiswrapper 1.53. I read the manual in ndiswrapper directory -INSTALL and READ. But my /lib/module/2.6.18-8.el5/build is broken symbolic link. Also wen i issue this command -make install- i get following error messages
make[1]: Entering dir /root/Linksys/ndiswrapper-1.53/drive'
makefile:23:*** kernel tree not found- please set KBUILD to configured kernel. Stop
make[1]: Leaving dir /root/Linksys/ndiswrapper-1.53/drive'
make:[install] Error 2

Plzzz.....help me out guys.....

You have your RHCE, and you're asking for help with this??? You don't have your kernel source installed. Go install it.

okke....dude.....i'm still a newbie in linux....so...tell me wats the kernel source for kernel-2.6.18-8.el5....if u dont mind...

You're a "newbie", but have your RedHat certification? The two don't quite fit together.

Your kernel source is the source code package for the kernel you're running. It's on the install CD/DVD. Since you have RHEL5, you can contact RedHat support for help.

okke...i installed the kernel source....now..tell me how to install the ndiswrapper....? 'm getting following error message...
