how to install a i830 video card whit XFree86 (1024x768)

hi friends,

i use Red Hat Psyche and downloaded the rawhide rpms for XFree86* because i want run X on my Dell Inspiron 2600. Then i made a redhat-config-xfree86 but it still doesent work

any ideas?

Is it i830 or i810? The integrated Intel chipset is what you're talking about, yes?

I also had major issues with that using Slackware some time ago.

All I had to do was 'modprobe agpgart'

See if that works for you, if not, paste your error log.

what release of Slackware did you use? in Red Hat 8.0 a modprobe agpart isnt useful... the same resolution
