How to get those dam modules????
Hi everybodY!
I'm trying to mount my sony cybershot p73 under my Slackware linux 10 kernel 2.4.26, and I know that I'll need modules usbvideo and ohci to do this. HOWEVER, I'm already tired of searching for these dam modules! I can't find them! When I try the cvs, I always get: Code:
erickfis@darkstar:~/temp/dow$ cvs -t -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.linux-usb.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/linux-usb co usbvideo Thanks! |
Compile kernel version 2.6.10 because it supports a wide variety of video capture cards and usb video capture devices.

Sorry, but I really want to do this on kernel 2.4.
I've already have success with 2.6 before but it was at the college. Now, at home, I'm not going to compile 2.6 because it won't support my hardware. Can't I just download the module anywhere? Thanks! |
The developer for Video 4 Linux has stop supporting the 2.4.x kernel, so you may have trouble using your device. The 2.6.x kernel supports a lot of video capture devices. The 2.6.x kernel does support old hardware.
The modules usbvideo and ohci are compiled when the kernel is compiled, but you need to make sure select them before starting to compile the kernel. |
Oh boy....
ok, you win! Tomorrow I'll download the lastest 2.6 and compile it... Thanks! |
