How to get rid of 1 cable on HP machine?

Hi, I'm not sure if it's an appropriate question to put here but I just want to ask it anyway. I'm using an HP machine with the product name "HP Proliant ML 370 G5". The problem with it is that it requires 2 electric cables to be plugged in in order to work normally. To my knowledge, 1 cable is enough and the other is used just in case the working one fails. I want to get rid of 1 to cut half of my machine's power consumption. Is there any way to do that at all? Please help me.

But it won't do that.

Using for example 1000 W, either 1) the no.1 powersupply
is supplying it all, number 2 uses 2..10 W or 2) they
are sharing the load, 500 W each.

So as salasi says, it won't help you.
