Talking How to get hard disks onto desktop

Help! I'm very new to Linux. I've got 2 hard disks, with Windows on the first and Fedora Core 1 (From a Dummies book) on the second. I used to have Suse, but didn't like it as the writing was too small, but at least it showed me my Windows c: and d: partitions (both on first hard disk) on the desktop. Not in Fedora though. I've been through every menu item I can find, but no way can I pull my Windows hard drive onto the desktop. Can someone more experienced tell me what to do please?

If your windows drives are formated NTFS then you first need to install support for the filesystem.

Then you need to create a directory to mount the partitions and add an entry to the /etc/fstab file.

Then once the partitions are mounted you can create a shortcut on the desktop.
