open up fstab and put a hash (#) infront of the line(s) relevent to your cd drive.
eg.
Code:
/dev/cdrom /media/cdrom subfs fs=cdfss,ro,procuid,nosuid,nodev,exec,iocharset=utf8 0 0
or
Code:
/dev/hdb /media/cdrom auto defaults 0 0
becomes
Code:
# /dev/cdrom /media/cdrom subfs fs=cdfss,ro,procuid,nosuid,nodev,exec,iocharset=utf8 0 0
or
Code:
# /dev/hdb /media/cdrom autos defaults 0 0
that will probably solve your problem, and you can remove the # when you want automount to begin again.
Edit:
Forgot to mention, fstab is file /etc/fstab, and it will need to be opened as root. You can do this by opening in kmenu, Utilities, then something like File System then File System - super user. After clicking on File System - super user you enter your password and navigate to /etc/fstab.
