Unhappy How to config the philips saa7134 based tv tuner card

I am a linux newbie. I bought a tv tuner card. It has philips saa7134 chips. I downloaded the saa7134 file and tried to configure it. But I got the following message

[root@localhost saa7134-0.2.2]# make
make -C /lib/modules/2.4.18-14/build SUBDIRS=/root/saa7134-0.2.2 modules
make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/linux-2.4.18-14'

The present kernel configuration has modules disabled.
Type 'make config' and enable loadable module support.
Then build a kernel with module support enabled.

make[1]: *** [modules] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-2.4.18-14'
make: *** [default] Error 2

Please help me solve the problem.

Thanks.
