Question how to auto mount ext4 external hard drive (ubuntu jaunty)

I'm running the alpha of ubuntu jaunty. I was hoping someone out there could tell me how I could get jaunty to auto mount a external ext4 formatted hard drive? i used the mkfs.ext4 command to format them, all went well, but it wont automount them.

thank you

this information doesn't seem to be elsewhere on the net

if it doesn't automount - are you able to mount them manually ?

mount /dev/sdXi /mnt/somedir

where sdXi can be found by dmesg | tail as soon as you plug in the hdd
