how to add multisession support for kernel?

Yo!

I have had problems with multisession with cdrecord and I came to a conclusion, that maybe there is no support for multisession for my cdwriter in a redhat 9.0 stock kernel. I cannot make multisession cd's at all.

Maybe I should recompile the kernel?

How to add multisession support for kernel?

Please advice newbie...

it's not a kernel issue, part of cdrecord... have you read through the manpage to find all teh relevant session options?

Well I have done EVERYTHING what is possible to do. I even wrote to Schilling and he didnt have any clue, whats wrong.

Well...how do write you cdrw fstab?

Anyway, I have been thinking, that my writer simply do not have support for multisession. Its old...but supported. DVD record said, that my drive" has not support for all options" and maybe its correct.

But burner works in Windows, by no means.....
