How to activate built-in mic on Toshiba Satellite L750D laptop
I'm so happy that the major sound issues I was having were just fixed with the recent updates, however, the built-in mic doesn't seem to work. I plugged a mic in the jack, and it works fine, but not the built-in one.
This isn't really a major issue to me, but would be nice to get this working.
Is there a way to enable the built-in mic?
TIA

firstly post the output in a code box for command
lspci -v
pls
2) provide a snapshot of the mic
run alsamixer in a terminal ...then press F6 and choose the mic then take a snapshot of it
also the mic may be disabled in your bios settings?
Leaping ahead...if you can see it in alsamixer press the space bar to activate it then raise the volumes
good luck

The mic works in Windows 7. In the alsamixer, there are two volumes for the mic boost. One says internal and they are both set to 100%.

I got it working!
While in alsamixer, I pressed f6 then f4 for capture and there it was, the setting for internal mic.
Thank you very much for your help
