Hello, I bought imation USB flash memory it have a Partitioning software allows you to designate secure and public areas on the drive.
work fine under windows, but not linux, i was trying to figure out how to access my private partition under linux.
fdisk -l just show one partition /dev/sdb1
in windows first it mount on the public partition then after i enter my password in the partitioning software the USB flash remount again with the private partition.
I think the two partitions have the same UUID, that's why it cant be showing under linux.

Whats your linux version and your kernel version? You need kernel 2.4 as the site said. When I use my flash usb I have no problems seeing it allthough it takes abit of time. I'm using Kubuntu and find on every usb I have the right storrage using both the system settings menu and Gnome commander. BTW sometimes making the extra mount points also helps!
Downloadable software, available at no charge, allows public/private area drive partitioning and password privacy to protect your files from accidental erasure or unauthorized access. Note Macintosh and LINUX users: the password protection software is compatible with Windows platforms only.
yep this feature is for windows only, but i am sure there is a way to break on it and make it work under linux.
Lancelot1, the flash memory work fine, but the new feature for it which create a secure partition on the same flash access by a password is just working under windows.
