Hi all!! After browsing a lot this forum, i really don't know if i'm setting my Radeon 9500Pro the right way.... I usually get around 2100fps on glxgears and a Radeon 9700Pro gets double fps....i don't think this is normal, but who knows, so this is the aim of that thread
I have installed the drivers from ati's webpage, installed the rpm and run fglrxconfig (i didn't compile the modules as the script does it, or it seems....)
I'm using a RH9.0 with kernel 2.4.25 custom made in a Pentium 4 2.4Ghz with 512Mb of ram. XFree res is at 1200x1024.
I think, I'm using last years nvidia drivers. I have not upgrade for a long time.
glxgears shows you the estimate fps your video card can do. Its best to run Unreal Tournament or another game in batch mode to get a real fps rating. I have not done it yet.
Slackware 9.1
XFree86 4.4.0 (so I don't have ant custom ATI drivers)
AMD 220XP
512MB Corsair 2700 mem
ATI 9000 Pro 128 MB
Soyo Dragon Ulitmate Platinum Mobo.
