hi iam using intel 945gcpe motherboard and i want to know that if there i able to install redhat in this chipset or tell some supported os for this chipset thanks in advance
That motherboard appears to be quite new, so you should try installing any relatively new distro. Red Hat 9 is obsolete and has been unsupported since 2004 (I think). You could try Fedora or CentOS if you like Red Hat.
Hi
Actually I have to install linux thru usb(bootable) but my initrd doesnt supports intel 945
Is there any commands to modify initrd so that it supports intel 945 chipset.
Error i get is:
Kernel Panic - not syncing:Attempted to kill init.
Redhat 9.0 (Shrike) is an obsolete distro, and has been superseded by Fedora Core. Please consider using an up-to-date, supported distro for security and compatibility reasons
