Hey, I seem to have a problem. I'm trying to help my friend install the Atmel driver for the Netgear MA101 rev.B USB wireless device. She has the kernel-devel installed as well as several other things related to USB devices. She is running Fedora Core 5 with the 16K stacks kernel and kernel-devel. Her kernel is 2.6.15-1.2054.stk16.i686_FC5. I got her to download the latest Atmel wlan driver from
Sourceforge. The version of the driver she downloaded is 3.4.1.1. When she extracted the files to a folder, she opened a terminal and switched to that directory. There's no
./configure nor can she do
make. The most she could do is
make install, but I thought you had to make the files with the version of the kernel that you are currently losing. Well anyway, we're at a loss, and I was hoping that somebody could help us get her atmel driver working for Fedora Core 5 because wireless Internet is the only choice she has right now because of her situation. Can somebody help? Thanks in advance.
