how do i exit out of X Server


how do i exit out of the X server on fedora core 3 so i can install my video driver can u plz help me out thnx you

Hi.

Go root (su -) and do 'telinit 3'. Ctrl-Alt-Backspace will also exit, but slightly less elegantly.
Then you can log in as root on the console and install your driver.

open a console, then "su", enter root password, then type: init 3

after you finish the video driver install, then type: init 5
