Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

How do I enable DVI out with knoppix3.1?

Hi all!

I really like the idea of having a cd based OS to play around with and knoppix is the first one I've tried and will hopefully get me over my linux newbness.

After creating and booting with knoppix 3.1 all seems to go well and it correctly identifies my hardware, after hardware detection is done and it installs all the necessary drivers the screen goes blank.
After setting verious resolutions and refresh rates I have come to the conclusion that for some reason no video signal is being sent out through my videocards DVI connector (geforce 3) to my LCD.

First off does knoppix support DVI based LCD's? If so is there a way for me to configure it to work with out having to rebuild the image or require any other tools (like a floppy)?

I'm trying to make the install as quick and painless as can be and one that will work with all my systems.

Thanks for the help
