How can I get the make & model # of my mobo?

I need to flash the BIOS on an old machine. Looking at the board, I don't see any manufacturer's name or model numbers anywhere. I bought this computer second hand, so there's no documentation anywhere. If I run ntop on my server, it claims this machine has a Tyan board, but that's as much as I know.

Is there any way to get this info from the command line?

Thanks

When you first boot up, before the POST, there is usually a line that gives the version of the BIOS.
But you have to be quick...

On most MB's you can hit the pause/break key to freeze it so you can actually read it.

Got it, thanks guys. Upon further inspection, I was able to find some numbers printed on the mobo that turned to be model number.. took forever.. I wish they'd put a big red sticker with the model number on motherboards.
