bad , very bad!
Fedora 14 is 4 versions and 2 years out of date

if you need a OS in the RedHat family for an old p4 cpu

Install the current AND supported CentOS 6.4
but if you happen to have an antique graphics card like i do on one of my machines
A Nvidia Gforce2 mx400 ( yes from 2000/2001 )
install the older but supported CentOS 5.9
or downgrade Xorg on 6.4

F18 runs fine on a P4 with a Gig of memory and a crappy old Radeon card. As above, go with a current version.

I'm using CentOS on an AMD Sempron, 1.1GB RAM, and mother-board SiS graphics: it works fine.
