hihg pitch sound


hi.. my computer ha stwo os.one is windows and other linux fc5..
when ever i boot into linux it starts wat a high frequency sound.. which vanishes suddenly and reappears again the sound is very irritatin.. i don face tis problem in windows.
any reason for tis??

It sounds like linux is driving the monitor refresh rate to fast. You can do severe damage to your monitor that way.

hi thanks,
but it comes from the processor does it mean the same..what shud b the refresh rate for the onitor like the ssafe . it shows 85 hz..
