Exclamation HIDDEV and ioctl

Anyone have experience with HIDDEV_IOCTL()?
I would like to (better) understand it, but can't find any info on it...
Any direction would be greatly appreciated! [HIDDEV.c doen't have enough info in it...]

A few Q's I have:
Are the HIDDEV drivers always loaded at bootup? How do you disable them?

Is there a command to determine if the HIDDEV drivers are currently loaded?

How does IOCTL() export its functionality to HIDDEV_IOCTL()? Or does it?

Where do the arguments for HIDDEV_IOCTL() come from?

Thanks in advance!
