Hibernation across every Linuxes is it, isn't


Is hibernation across all Linuxes going through or using (almost) exactly the same system/low-level procedure and mechanism?

Hibernation is managed by the kernel, so I think your answer is yes.

I was considering all the power management types and features and how ACPI and APM might manage it along with bios states for power.
