Hi-Val Internal pci (phone) Modem

How do I get my telephone modem to work under SuSe
Linux (Personal) 8.2? It works fine with Win98, but apparently
the driver isn't present in Linux. Can I somehow download
a Linux driver onto a floppy under Windows? Or maybe I'm
configuring it wrong, I don't know. Maybe some of you who have
had issues in the past with modems can help.

All modems are pretty much windows software modems... reliant on software to perform many of the functions hardware used to do... there are drivers for some. This should make for a good start, post back if that doesn't hack it, or you get stuck... but most likely the outcome is an unsupported modem.
