Hercules graphic driver
I've searched alot to find some information about my graphic card named "Hercules 3d Prophet 4500 64MB TV-OUT", its a "Kyro" graphic card. You can find Kyro drivers if you google for "powervr" (too bad I can't put url's yet on this forum) I've tried installing the rpm's and also tried the .tgz file but it just come errors when i try make install.

You may notice on the site the text "Linux kernel 2.6 introduced major structural changes to the way driver modules are built and loaded. As a result, existing KYRO drivers are not compatible with any Linux kernel whose version is 2.6 or above. To keep using KYRO drivers, users are requested to use the latest available 2.4 Linux kernel version. We have currently no plans of providing drivers supporting updated kernels"... so what to do to get the driver to work? Or can I download a newer driver from somewhere else?

(and yeah, dont blame me for bad english)

Welcome to LQ. Well, what kernel are you running? Assuming it's 2.6.x, then according to the info you supplied, there is no workaround available, and you would have to either downgrade your kernel to 2.4.x or abandon that graphics card.

If you are running 2.4.x, then please provide more details about the errors you are receiving when you attempt the install. The better detail you can provide, the better answers people will be able to supply. Good luck with it -- J.W.
